Travel sure has changed a lot over the past two years with rules and regulations, I am sure happy that COVID is finally calming down a bit. With that being said, more people are traveling than ever. Goodbye cabin fever! No matter if you are looking near or far we are happy to help you explore this amazing planet.
This week we are talking about a domestic destination. Washington, Pennsylvania. Washington is southeast of Pittsburg with a wide variety of things to see and do. There is literally something for everyone. From the history buff to the shopper or gambler. The bonus is that it is also about 15 minutes outside of Pittsburgh so you can enjoy the vibrance of the city with the beauty of Washington. History buffs will love the Duncan and Miller Glass Museum and the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum both are highly recommended by us. Shoppers will love the Tanger Outlet Mall with many designer factory outlets it is sure to please. Don’t forget to stop at shopper services to get additional discounts and coupons to stores like the Pepper Palace. The hot sauce variety will knock your socks off. For the gamblers, there is the Meadowlands Casino and Racetrack. It is absolutely beautiful and has live entertainment and an amazing steak house. For the foodies out there try the Back Porch Restaurant and the Washington Brewing Company. There are many other unique restaurants in the area as well.
If you decide to venture into Pittsburgh, you will find the Monongahela Incline and the Gateway Clipper River Cruise along with a host of museums including the Carnegie Science Center, and Children’s Art Museum. The Mr. Rogers exhibit is awesome. There is even the Three Rivers Casino for those who just have to try their luck. With many dining options available there is always the Hard Rock Cafe, Pittsburgh’s own Primanti Brothers, and The Grand Concourse to name a few.
